About Prime

Prime Engineering has extensive experience in delivery, on time and on budget, in what is becoming an industry under ever more scrutiny. The unique requirements of the UK signalling industry, whereby complex safety-critical engineering is delivered within a commercial environment that is highly sensitive to delay or disruption, requires a broad skillset and range of personal attributes for success. At Prime Engineering, we are fortunate to have achieved that delicate balance with our personnel and we are ready to help drive your project forward. Robert Hay

Rob began his career at London Underground and has 20 years’ experience within the rail industry. He has worked with most of the large contractors to Network Rail over the last 15 years being integral in delivering many major re-signallings of Category A stations. Specialising in complex controls and CBI systems, he is an SSI (and related products) data verifier with extensive experience in the delivery management of such systems.

David Young

David has delivered signalling designs for complex and high-profile projects throughout the UK and abroad for the past 20 years. As Signalling Principles Designer/Verifier, David has acquired a breadth of knowledge built around legacy (including RRI) and modern (including CBI) signalling systems. David has also provided engineering management as CRE and DPE on various signalling projects.
